Well, because of the angled curves and holes for the lugs its not too easy to tape off the polished areas if your going to do it yourself but with an exacto or razor blade wouldn't be too bad. I went with powdercoating because it has a stronger finish than spray painting them. I didn't want the paint to chip away after driving it around some. Either way, the bronze has to be stripped away to put the new finish on. This is why I sent them out to get done...didn't want to F it up and make them look like crap. The center caps I did myself with black touch up paint and clear. I brushed it on lightly, wiped the excess that went over the D5R lines with Qtips dipped in paint thinner. Those came out real well and accents the black.
